Launching of a seedling campaign on the occasion of National Seedling Day and Supporting Peace Process

A seedling campaign on the occasion of National Seedling Day and Supporting Peace Process was held by Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality. Muhammad Ishaq Rahgozar, governor of Balkh Province, Abdulhaq Khurami, mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, and Muhammad Afzal Hadid, head of provincial council of Balkh participated in this campaign.

Heads of governmental departments, representatives of social and civic institutions, region lawyers, elders and residents of region have participated in this campaign too. Each of them planted two plant one for peace and one for country.

Abdulhaq Khurami, mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif who was speaking in this campaign said that 10th of March is known as National Seedling Day in the calender by Muhammad Ashraf Ghani, president of Afghanistan and Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality celebrated this day by launching a seedling campaign.

Local authorities planted seeds in 5th District, Ommoulbalad School, and Sakhi Baba Mosque. Leadership of Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality asked residents of region, and school students to pay attention for keeping of these plants.
