The meeting of Mazar-e-Sharif mayor with UN-Habitat office

Alhaj Maulvi Naqibullah Tariq, the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, met with the officials of the UN-Habitat office, while a number of officials from various departments including the Department of Public Health, Department of Public Works, Traffic Management and Department of Urban Development were present.

First of all, Hassan Shahir, the head of the UN-Habitat office, said in this meeting that he plans to start the construction project of popular roads in three cities of Afghanistan, Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif and Jalalabad begins.

The head of the Habitat office adds that the monetary value of this project is 60 thousand dollars, of which 30 thousand dollars will be used in Kabul and the other 30 thousand dollars in the cities of Mazar-e-Sharif and Jalalabad. Cooperate with them in implementing this project.

While welcoming the participants of this meeting, the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif said that the gate of Mazar-e-Sharif municipality is open to people and aid institutions and supports public benefit projects and added that those who contribute to the development of our country, Afghanistan, should cooperate with them. At the end of this meeting, the officials of all Balkh province administrations who were present in this meeting announced their support for this project.
